Rosaryville Real Estate

Rosaryville, Maryland, a prosperous community of some 15,000 residents of diverse cultural backgrounds, covers about 13.7 square miles of land in Prince George's County. The area is populated but spread out, and was mostly developed after the 1960s. Most of the real estate consists of colonial or rambler style single-family homes of three or four bedrooms. There is some also new construction, older homes, and even a handful of historic houses.

The average residential real estate property in low crime Rosaryville sells for about $268,000, which is very reasonable for the Washington area, and a reason why the local home appreciation rate is more than 100 percent.

Rosaryville offers a few homes for sale for under $170,000, but the vast majority range in price between $170,000 and $330,000. About a fifth of available properties sell for upwards of $330,000. A small percentage of the available homes for sale sell in the range of $1.3 million to $1.7 million, which typically buys a large, recently renovated, historic property.

Rosaryville is a prosperous community of educated residents. More than a third of Rosaryville dwellers have a college higher, and the average household reports an income of over $70,000, which is significantly above state average. Rosaryville also benefits from lower than the state average unemployment, and faster job creation than the average American community.

Local residents send their children to K-12 public schools that rank well among others in Maryland. More than 90 percent of high school students in the general area graduate, and about 50 percent go on to pursue a college education.

Rosaryville is a commuter community, with half of the population migrating during the day. Popular employers are the federal agencies of the nation's capital, numerous medical and research institutions in Maryland suburbs of Washington, and technology companies in the general region. Many military families live here as well, given that Rosaryville is only three miles away from the Andrews Air Force Base.

A mostly owner occupied community, Rosaryville has fewer renters than the state average. It offers its residents a vast array of shopping, dinning, and outdoor recreation at six community parks.
