Arcola Real Estate

Arcola, Virginia, a former stagecoach stop dating back to the 1700s, is now a bustling community of 200 residents, located just past the Washington Dulles International Airport in Loudoun County. Once a quiet, farming area, Arcola today is a modern neighborhood with housing mostly built since the 1960s.

The average home sells for nearly $400,000, and is a singly-family home built on a sizable lot, typically in colonial style. Real estate sale prices range vastly between $170,000 and $650,000, with a few statelier homes selling for closer to $1 million. Arcola also offers land for custom real estate development.

Crime is among the lowest in the nation in this community, which dates back to the early American settlements in the 1700s. Today, Arcola is home mostly to commuters who migrate to Washington for work each day.

Arcola residents are among the most educated not just in the region but the country, based on the percentage of people with a master's degree. They are also high income earners, with a more than double the national average income of nearly $100,000.

The neighborhood is popular among families with children, which makes sense given the excellence of local public schools. Local students tend to perform superbly on national standardized tests, and majority of them go on to pursue a college degree. Arcola is located close to several topnotch higher education institutions, including George Mason University and the University of Maryland.

Arcola offers its residents plenty of shopping opportunities, especially at the chic Tysons Corner malls not too far away. Dining, recreational activities, and culture also abound. The small community is located close to various national parks that offer outdoor recreation such as kayaking, canoeying, fishing, swimming, hiking, and picnicking. It is also the gateway to the picturesque Shennandoah Valley, which is located only about 30 miles away off Interstate 66.
